The Word is not an ordinary document but an intricate interface

The sharp, two-edged sword of the Word lays bare what is sinful and excusing of sin, inspires us to shun these, and implants what is good and true in their places. It is not an ordinary document but an intricate interface.

Jeremiah 1:10 - King James Version (KJV)

<10> See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Nations pertain to the heart and peoples to the mind. This verse confers authority over sins and errors, authority to rebuke and shun them; that in their places, in their nice clean empty places, the good and truth of the Lord may enter and marry.

We are neither married nor given in marriage but as the angels of Heaven when the plate is clean and the cup is clean and the bread is hot and the wine is light and the divine love of the Lord marries the divine truth of the Lord in our souls.

To root out has to do with loves; in this case evil loves. It is over nations and peoples, Canaanite and Perizzite, that we are to triumph; even as we acknowledge that our triumph is the presence of God.

The presence of God is the honor and glory that the kings bring into New Jerusalem. It is acknowledgement that the good of love is His flesh and the sword of divine truth is His blood and in this very sense that Christ is come in the flesh.

1 John 2:22 - King James Version (KJV)

<22> Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

He is antichrist, that denieth the divine good of the Father and divine true of the Son, the sword in hand of love so great it is nurturing music.

1 John 4:3 - King James Version (KJV)

<3> And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

It is come in the flesh, it is come in the arena of our hearts. That is, the Lord comes actively into our lives and organizes and improves our desires. This process happens amazingly and intricately, and by means of the divine true married to the divine good.

<3> And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

It should come in the Church becoming slowly an anti-Church or Whore.

The separation between divine love and divine truth 'should come' in the life cycle of the Church, the cuckoo clock and key of love which opens prophecy.

This separation is antichrist. That is why it is said that there are many antichrists! It is not one fearsome, possessed dictator of the world, it is everyone who crucifies the Lord afresh by not repenting of evils and the ideation supportive of them.

<18> Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

It is the last time of the Church, when those in the nominal Church deny repentance in their hearts and refuse the ideation supportive of repentance.

It is the state of breach, the hurting of the oil and wine, the passing by on the other side of the Levite and the priest. (I refer to the parable of the Good Samaritan.)

The opposite of the double portion of manna for the 7th day is burning up root and branch, the sun blackhearted as hair and the moon bloody-minded, and the bride and bridegroom sounding no longer.

Exodus 25:40 - King James Version (KJV)

<40> And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

The mount is divine love from which we receive instruction, like a Father giving birth to a Son.

Like a Father sending a Son into  the world.

The pattern is all about the love, and it is love's ordering of one's desires as the acknowledged presence of Christ that has written these words. The Word has the power to break chains and to pattern you ever more on the pattern of love shown to the sodality of all who will receive it and practice it. 

May you meet the Lord face to face and see the love and glory that instruct and admonish and broaden. His kindness even to someone living an evil life sees the full-fledged humans each of us can become in the future. He is very kind and patient and involved in minute aspects of human lives.

May you directly perceive that the Lord has come in the flesh, in the supernatural ordering of your loves and desires and behaviors, and know that loving will to instruct and to save which is the Father sending the Son, being one Lord, into the world.

He suffered no one to accompany Him but Peter, James, and John

As we have covered root, branch, and fruit, it is appropriate now to touch on Peter, James, and John, the disciples who represent basically the same things: with Peter being faith, James being charity, and John being the works of charity which proceed from the marriage of faith and charity; just as fruit depends on the root and the branch.  We read in Mark, on the occasion of the Lord's raising a 12 year old girl from the dead, that "he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James" (Mark 5:37).  That the Word specifically mentions these three disciples in the context of someone's being raised from the dead is due to the fact that there is no resurrection from spiritual death to spiritual life without charity, faith, and good deeds.
