How the 2nd Coming Happened

If you understand why I have paired these two passages, then you are in a position to understand how the 2nd Coming happened and how each Testament of the Threefold Word happened. Here is the first passage, from when King Jehoiakim burns up Jeremiah's scroll in the fire:
"Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words" (Jeremiah 36:27).
This occurs in the winter house of King Jehoiakim because winter is the final phase of the four-quarter prophetic cycle of the Church in seasonal form.
If the Lord wishes to express the same fourth stage in the Church's decline as to charity and wisdom in terms of the quarters of a day, then He calls this fourth phase night.
The fire is love of self and the world growing in the Church in four distinct phases; and as it grows, it burns up divine truth , the Word understood, and the Word practiced as though they were leaves of paper.
Notice how it says: "and there were added besides unto them many like words". This is the Greek Word, what mainline Christians call the New Testament! And this is the Latin Word, what the world calls the Writings of Emanuel Swedenborg.
Mr. Swedenborg was a scribe instructed in the Kingdom of Heaven who brought out of his storehouse things old and new (Matthew 13:52). His training by the Lord turned him unto someone suitable for writing down the many things Jesus Christ had to tell us but which we were not as a species then able to bear. And here is the 2nd passage:
"12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you" (John 16:12-15).
Notice the part of how that which He glorifies shall be shown. "Glory" means divine truth, and being "shown" divine truth means causing people to understand spiritual life. For "to see" in the Word is spiritually to understand.
"Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory" (1 Peter 1:8).
This is about as close as someone can get to expressing the presence of the living God in human language.
This glory is of a distinct kind from the red carpets of humanity. What red carpet of what human potentate teaches you amazing things while it unrolls and while someone strolls upon it? But the joyful glory of the living God teaches you.
The torrential, oceanic intelligence and love of this being are absolutely amazing, and you feel like nothing in comparison to it and yet uplifted in a way that is deeply fulfilling.
For the 'humiliation' that one feels in that presence is also of a distinct kind! What humiliation before another human being makes anyone feel better? None! But 'humiliation' before the living God does make you feel better.
The God of glory has visited His people with bread and has told them many things because they can bear Him now. And through this chaotic process whereby the contractions of the birth proceed His truth is marching on. Glory, glory, hallelujah!
May the God Man speed you on your perfecting way. May the light shine on your love, and your love pour out in the world.
Godspeed, all who are growing in bread and in wine, all who are ready to see and to hear!
He came like a thief in the night.
