You put that alongside this:

"That the veil of the temple was rent in twain when the Lord suffered the cross (Matt. 27:51; Mark 15:38; Luke 23:45) signified His glorification; for when the Lord was in the world, He made His Human Divine truth; but when He departed out of the world, He made His Human Divine good, from which the Divine truth now proceeds" (Arcana Coelestia 9670).

Appendix: "This was done as a sign and token that the Lord was denied, and that thence there was no good nor truth with those who were of the church; for with them all signs from the heavens represented and signified such things as are of the church, because the church with them was a representative church, or consisted of such things in externals as represented and thus signified the internal things of the church. That "darkness came over all the land" signified that with those who were of the church there was nothing except the falsities of evil, "all the land" meaning all the church, and "darkness" signifying falsities; that it continued for three hours, namely, "from the sixth to the ninth hour," signifies that there remained mere falsity, and no truth whatever, for "three" signifies full, whole, and entirely, and "six" and "nine" signify all things in the complex, here falsities and evils; and because there were falsities and evils with them, from the Lord's having been denied, therefore it is said, "and darkness came, and the sun was darkened;" "the sun" that was obscured, meaning the Lord, who is said to be "obscured" when falsities so prevail in the church that He is not acknowledged, and evils so prevail that He is crucified" (Apocalypse Explained 401).

There was a massive change in the state of the Church to an anti-Church due to the fact that evils in its will had collectively speaking burnt it up; and falsities in its understanding had drowned it in flood. These signs in the Heavens and signs in the Earth express changes in the state of the Church akin to "Your house is left unto you desolate!" But let us flip the sun and flip the moon, for that is what they are designed to do: Isaiah 30:26

<26> Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

He bindeth up the breach. He connects the Love and Wisdom that had been severed by disjunction. He plants the root and branch. He restores the stones of the field, the truths of faith, as at the first. His holiness shall call forth children unto Abraham from stones! And water cometh from the rock. His oil of love anoints the stones of truth with how to practice them and ever further inwardly to practice them. But it is important now to note a salient feature of the restoration:

<17> Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Neither do the Pharisees and Sadducees preach the Gospel in Acts. But the Christians preach the Gospel in Acts, for the Lord had restored the paths to dwell in, the ways to live in. The Lord had bound up the breach and healed the stroke. 

It is not possible to arrange things thus without accessing the inner architecture of the Word of God. 

This inner architecture sustains you in ascending and descending on the Son of Man like the angels. Do you see the steps of stairwell up which you proceed? I see them and my feet are on them. And there are so many here. The tower in His vineyard is so full of people. Go on, step on those steps! They are quite solid.

John 20:27-28 - King James Version (KJV)

New Christian Bible Study commentary: " Therefore the Lord in his mercy accommodates himself to their apprehension by the glorification of his body even to its ultimates, so that they confess him to be the only source of all divine good and divine truth".

The glorious thus instructive illumination of your perception of Christ in everyday life acquaints you with eating forgiveness, sincerity, magnanimity, patience, and conscientiousness; and with your drinking the spiritual truths, facts, and concepts which throw light on the work you are about. And what work are you about? Well, you had best be about the work of purifying your will, the container to be of His love, and purifying your understanding, the container to be of His wisdom! But no one will force you to care.

This is the purification of dross from gold and silver, this is the Sun and the Moon shining more and yet more. This is the goal of the furnace of fire and the flood of water which pass over your head and would fain burn you up and drown you. This is the process of overcoming in trials of baking and seething of manna. This is the architecture of the universe in its variety and according to the pattern. Here is the increasing worthiness to eat the bread and drink the wine.

<1> Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Hear, 21st century man, amid imperfect storm and cooling love and desperate need of order, the inner meaning of the Word of God. And align with it! Learn as much as you can and practice it! For it is the pattern from which all true nobility -- which happens at all levels of society from the upwelling of God in people's hearts and minds -- proceeds like gushing water from a rock; like hidden rivers in the desert of a crumbling and a treacherous time. You need something to replace the Gideon Bibles that were everywhere you went more desperately then you can begin to imagine. 

Embrace the Advent, pot that cools on being taken off the hob! and it will embrace you. And He will confirm for you every step of the way how you ascend and descend on the ladder of bread and wine. It is the only way forward for a convulsing civilization in desperate need of the Savior Jesus Christ. And I sometimes have just an inkling, Neighbors, that even those who would oppose the dissemination of the Advent must reluctantly accept Love and Order in the end; or they will drown in evil and suffocate in darkness and plunge themselves into barbarism. God forbid.
