Transparent Statement of Teaching Methodology
One wanted to explain the teaching method employed in this ministry out of transparency; and because the teachings taught to people here are not toys but can have a powerful and mind-altering effect. See ch. 7 of Romans for the Apostolic equivalent of what one now expresses in contemporary language.
If the Word be taken seriously, for instance, then a switch flicks; and at that point, very strange and trying experiences may test people in a way that genuinely disturbs them.
These are temptations: opportunities to grow in love of God and the neighbor that afford us an accelerated course in identifying internal and external sins and errors and ceasing to feed them; opportunities, but they also suck.
We teach that not everyone can presently be allowed by Providence to enter such states, because only people sufficiently committed to overcoming can do so safely while they are alive.
So this means that a given reader of these lectures may not experience the "sin becoming exceedingly sinful" in response to the commandment's being taken seriously as described by Paul in Romans ch. 7. A given reader may not pass obviously through fire, temptation in the arena of desire; and through water, temptation in the arena of ideation.
But it may be you.
Therefore, one makes it clear that the sharp sword of the Word is not a toy and may spark internal, initiatic, purifying procedures for which the Lord designed our interiors; and in relation to which true religion explains the Word.
True religion involves facing one block on love and wisdom after another, peeling off one layer of the rotten onion of self-love and the excuses for self-love which commit adultery with it after another. True religion faces the evil of self-love and the excuses for it, climbing the ladder of rungs towards milder and milder adulteries of sin and error.
And then there arrives a point, and there has been sufficient regeneration that, internally speaking, the person has arrived at some level of Heaven; for they have regenerated and are thenceforth perfected.
One mentions all of this in case you personally undergo disturbing purifying processes within because of taking our Writings and the Old and New Testaments seriously in the practice of your interior and exterior lives. They are quite real processes, akin to being drilled into by strident thoughtforms which cannot be dispelled, what modern people would refer to as intrusive thoughts; or like screaming terrible things with overwhelming thoughts about one person or class of persons after another.
Having mentioned the possibility of fire and water processes, one will now give some explanation of the teaching method used here, since it should be disclosed.
One is partly inspired by descriptions of places in the spiritual world where preaching goes on all the time and people come and go; and partly inspired by a sense that there could be, and here is, a sort of Montessori school for adults wherein busy people who do not want to get sucked into anything that drains and overextends them can get a solid glimpse at what the Word really means and what that can mean in relation to the real issues of their lives.
One is also partly inspired by something one calls 'camera angle teaching' and what the Word calls "here a precept, there a precept":
"For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little" (Isaiah 28:10).
The Word clearly makes heavy use of camera angles, as with the four different camera angles known as the Gospels on the natural life towards glorification of Jesus Christ.
And one therefore uses camera angles as well, where possible showing the same spiritual concept now in a bluntly stated form and now in the encrypted form of a narrative or prophetic passage.
One believes that a camera angle pedagogy aligns with the shape of human thought, and one will therefore give some account of this; because if we can teach exactly as suits the human apprehension, then the educational outcome can obviously be correspondingly more effective.
One sees thought as, practically speaking, a difference in levels of the mind, something which happens when there is any basis for comparison whatever and when there are any items plural in some set whatever. It is the internal version of how a material and synaptic discharge expresses it.
We see synaptic discharge, and we see thought arise in response to having at least versions of something so as to think about the whole class of which they are at least two expressions.
"For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little" (Isaiah 28:10).
Is it any surprise to find a sophisticated approach to get across very heavy material in the Word of God? In any case, there it is.
One finds that inspecting the possibilities it suggests has been very fruitful for instructing me, your instructor, in how you are to be properly instructed in something of mortal and indeed immortal importance.
The chief possibility it suggests is that you can learn in a way that is exactly suited to your frame of mind; which proceeds from your own thought's being elicited by exposure to carefully-arranged camera angles.
If thought arises the more optimally with camera angles on the concept, then the independence of your own thought arises in response to the education. It is not a top-down relationship but the elicitation of your very own thought and thus audience involvement where it really matters, at the level of connecting the Word to your real inner life and behavior.
I have met God and have been shown the connection between the teachings in the Word and our everyday lives. Nevertheless, you are the one running your life, and I have no interest in doing it for you besides. It is inspired teaching, but you still have the responsibility of reading the Word for yourself and testing everything you hear, including and especially from someone like me, against what you know of the Word and compassion and sense.
One will never tell you that something is a rule in the Word if it isn't, or that something isn't a rule in the Word when it is. But how can you know that? It would be best to know the Word well so as to know whether some supposed responsibility that you have is in fact a divine expectation and not someone bloviating.
One hopes that people will enjoy this tour of the Word and find it somewhat more comprehensible in a once-seen-never-unseen kind of way; as we touch on the spiritual meanings of concepts and patterns in the Word and in our parallel feeling-ideation feed awake and asleep.
For instance, there has been much detailed information about the pairs like bread and wine and oil and stone. And there has been in-depth explanation of the 'A : b :: B : a' pattern in all of the didactic pairs of personages which you know as Cain and Abel, Rachel and Leah, etc.
And we have looked at the true meaning of the prophecies in relation to the end of one Church which becomes a mere Whore; and the beginning of another Church, a continual passing of the torch of the optimization of love and its supportive ideation.
I sincerely hope that everyone walks away from their experience here with somewhat more comprehension which pierces the enigmatic clouds of the Testaments of God. I know I address numerous not just intellectually but feelingly alert people; and besides that that many skilled and knowledgeable people pass through here
I want very much not to waste their time but leave them with some really increased perspective on spiritual life and the Word. Godspeed on the Way.
